Warranty & Returns Policy

Our Commitment to You

At Woodberry, we take pride in the quality of our products and our service. Our goods are covered by guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. This means you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, as well as compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If your purchase does not meet acceptable quality and the issue is not a major failure, you are entitled to have it repaired.


Returns for Exchange or Store Credit

We are happy to offer an exchange or store credit when the following conditions are met:

  • Returned within 30 days of purchase.

  • In original, unused condition as assessed by Woodberry.

  • In original, undamaged packaging.

  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (receipt).

For online purchases made via woodberry.com, unless the item is faulty, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.


When We Cannot Refund or Exchange

As permitted by Australian Consumer Law, we cannot process returns or exchanges in the following cases:

  • Change-of-mind purchases.

  • Items not in their original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons unrelated to Woodberry.

  • Items returned after 30 days.

  • Gift vouchers (not refundable or redeemable for cash).


Exchanges – Good Faith Policy

While we are not legally required to exchange items for change of mind, we are happy to do so within 30 days, provided:

  • The product is unused, in saleable condition, and in its original packaging.

  • Proof of purchase is provided.

  • The request comes from the original purchaser.

  • The exchange product is agreed upon by both the customer and Woodberry.

  • Any price difference is settled (additional payment for higher-value items, or store credit if the exchanged item is of lesser value).

Warranty Returns

If your item develops a fault covered under warranty, you may be entitled to a refund, exchange, or store credit. Under Australian Consumer Law, this applies if the item:

  • Does not match its description.

  • Develops a major fault during the warranty period (see product-specific warranty terms below).

  • Is unsafe.

  • Is significantly different from the sample or description provided.

  • Is not fit for its intended purpose.

How to make a warranty claim:

  • For in-store purchases, bring the item to a Woodberry store.

  • For online purchases, email sam.au2021@gmail.com with photos and details.

  • Include proof of purchase.

We will inspect the product (or review images) and notify you of our decision.
If approved, a refund, exchange, or store credit will be issued.


Product-Specific Warranty Guidelines

Cricket Bats – 12 Month Warranty

  • Covers manufacturing faults not caused by customer misuse.

  • Handle, edge, toe, or surface cracks are not considered faults – they are a natural part of the bat’s wear and will be repaired free of charge within the warranty period.

  • No warranty for damage caused by bowling machine balls, dampness, or swelling in the toe.

  • Use of protective measures such as extratec, fibreglass sleeves, shoe goo, or rubber toe is strongly recommended.

  • All bats must be knocked in before use; failure to do so may cause premature cracking.

Protective Gear – Gloves, Pads, Thigh Pads – 6 Month Warranty

  • Covers seam or stitching splits.

  • Does not cover general wear and tear or heavy use.

  • If repair is not possible, an exchange, refund, or store credit will be offered.

Cricket Helmets – 6 Month Warranty

  • Covers size adjuster (dial) breakage.

  • Does not cover ball-impact damage.

  • Major faults will be addressed by replacement, refund, or store credit. In borderline cases, the manufacturer will make the final decision.

Cricket Bags – 12 Month Warranty

  • Covers seam or stitching splits, faulty zippers, or wheels.

  • Does not cover excessive wear and tear.

  • Faulty items will be replaced, refunded, or credited at Woodberry’s discretion, sometimes in consultation with the manufacturer.
